Since four weeks I've been doing volunteer work at the local animal shelter, Sunday morning every week.
The very first time, the very first task was to clean out the puppy kennel. When we arrived there, I found a scene very much as pictured here.
There were two mothers with their own batch of puppies. The one directly opposite the door was a golden retriever with black puppies with white chests & paws, like this (the puppies' father is a big, bad, black dog of an uncertian breed). Her name's Boomer, I saw her first & walked her the most, that's why she's here.
I don't think the puppies were as active as this that week, but the next week they were. I just distinctly recall the one sitting aside, looking with its bit puppydog-eyes straight at me.
It was very touching to see, so I tried drawing it... fourth week I finally managed to get it right. I hope you in dA-land will enjoy seeing this as much as I did drawing it. (yeah I know the scan's crap... >_<*)
-sighs- There's a good probability neither of them will be still there when I get there tomorrow... the puppies should have new homes, the mothers back to their owners T__T but hopefully they'll spend the rest of their lives happy ^_^
How have I never looked at your pencil sketches? You are awesomely talented. People don't appreciate traditional art enough these days. Your awesome broseph.
Oh my! How have you not!? I'm glad you did now, yeah... and that you at least appreciate it... I hate how in recent months I've become a 'ixel/emoticon artist' in the eyes of so many who give a passing glance through the last few pages of my gallery But I much appreciate you seeing the truth, bro
Yes... Beagles are mighty fine dogs, too. Have you got one? (or more?) I have a few in my gallery [link] though they didn't turn out too well When I move out, I'll sure get a dog, or a dozen
